Biblical Studies, Christian Education and Philosophy
The ultimate goal of the biblical studies, Christian education and philosophy (BSCEP) department is to see students know and love God with all of their hearts and minds. (Luke 10:27)
The purpose of the BSCEP department is two-fold. First, the department provides a significant portion of the "faith" side of faith and learning by teaching four general education courses required of the entire student body. Second, the department offers three majors -- biblical literature, Christian educational ministries and philosophy -- designed to instill in students competence in biblical, educational and philosophical truth in preparation for graduate studies and lifelong servant leadership roles in professional Christian ministries.
Our Mission
- To equip students with theological and philosophical knowledge and understanding so that they might integrate biblical truth with their respective disciplines.
- To help students think and live "Christianly" in our postmodern world.
- To prepare students for lifelong servant leadership in professional Christian ministries.
