Within the University's mission, purposes, core values, Statement of Faith, and Life Together Covenant, the president strives to uphold the spiritual and academic integrity of Taylor University.
Functioning as the chief executive officer of the University, the president is accountable for the overall leadership and management of the University, delegating responsibilities and authority to other senior administrators as appropriate. The president serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs other executive committees.
The president is also responsible for effectively communicating to and developing relationships with University constituencies, including employees, alumni, parents, prospective students, donors and friends. The president hosts major activities on campus while representing the University off campus at meetings of professional organizations including the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and the Independent Colleges of Indiana.
